In the second Test between SA and IND, Sanjay Manjrekar supports Mukesh Kumar, saying, “he is more suited to these conditions.” Fast bowler Mukesh Kumar should play in India’s second Test match against South Africa, which begins on Wednesday, January 3 at the Newlands in Cape Town, according to Sanjay Manjrekar.

At the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, Mukesh made his Test debut earlier this year against the West Indies and claimed one wicket.

Mukesh is “more suited to these conditions” in Cape Town, according to Manjrekar. The seasoned player added that Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna shouldn’t be included in the same playing XI for India’s second Test.In the second Test between SA and IND, Sanjay Manjrekar supports Mukesh Kumar, saying, "he is more suited to these conditions."

“I don’t think Shardul Thakur and Prasidh Krishna will play together in the second Test based on what we saw in the first Test.

Undoubtedly, one thing will alter. If Ravindra Jadeja is fit, our batting lineup will be strengthened. Therefore, Mukesh Kumar might be brought in if he is bowling well in the nets. Manjrekar was cited as telling ESPNcricinfo, “He is more suited to these conditions.”

India lost the first Test at the SuperSport Park in Centurion by an innings and 32 runs, and now they trail 0-1 in the two-match series.

Despite losing the opening Test, Manjrekar also predicted that captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will support Yashasvi Jaiswal. In Cape Town, the veteran also hoped for improved pitch behavior.

You may have to make some adjustments because the series consists of two matches. But I don’t believe India will alter their batting order significantly. Yashasvi Jaiswal would have continued to have support from Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid after observing how he performed in the opening innings.
