T20 World Cup: India 119 all out versus Pakistan sets a new record for the lowest T20I score. In their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 Group A encounter against Pakistan at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday, India was bowled out for 119, their lowest T20I total.

After a rain break, India was put into bat and were dealt a blow when Virat Kohli was out for four runs off just three deliveries in the second over.

After cutting Naseem Shah off-side, Kohli found the point fielder. After flicking Shaheen Afridi to the deep square-leg fielder, skipper Rohit Sharma was the next to go down.

Haris Rauf and Shah broke the back of the middle-order, but even at number three, Rishabh Pant made the most of three reprieves to keep India afloat alongside Axar Patel. In just three overs, India slipped from being 89 for two to 97 for seven, with Pant giving up on 42 off 31 deliveries against Mohammad Amir.

After that, Rauf came back to dismiss Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya off consecutive balls in the eighteenth over before getting out the next over.

The two seamers that took the most wickets each were Rauf and Amir. It was India’s lowest total against Pakistan in 12 Twenty20 Internationals since 2007. It is also the third-lowest score for India in the nine T20 World Cup editions when they bat first.
