World Cup:-For the forthcoming multi-format series against Australia at home in September and October, Samit Dravid received his first call-up to the India U-19 World Cup team.

Samit, the son of former India captain and head coach Rahul Dravid, was called up for the first time as an India U-19 on Saturday. The team will play Australia in a multi-format series at home in September and October. Samit received recognition for his outstanding performance for Karnataka in the Cooch Behar Trophy earlier in the year. He is not expected to be included in the India U-19 World Cup team, which will compete in 2026.

Samit is competing in the Karnataka Maharaja T20 Trophy right now. Despite not being used for his fast-bowling skills, he is a member of the Mysuru Warriors team and has amassed 82 runs at a strike rate of 114 in seven innings as a middle-order hitter.
