Ranji Trophy 2024: During Karnataka’s game against Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna suffers a quadriceps injury. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, during Karnataka’s Ranji Trophy 2024 match against Gujarat, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna suffered a quadriceps injury.
Krishna bowled just 14.5 overs in the first innings of the first-class match, and he left for the park on the first day of play. With the final ball of the over, Vijaykumar Vyshak bowled. Before leaving, Prasidh took the wickets of Siddharth Desai and Manan Hingrajia.
According to PTI, Prasidh would not play in the game any longer because a quadriceps injury takes four to six weeks to heal.
Prasidh is now being monitored by the medical staff from Karnataka. The speedster may also communicate with the India A team’s support personnel. The team is currently in Ahmedabad for a two-day encounter against the England Lions.
Prasidh recently made his Test debut for India while participating in the two-match Test series in South Africa. He struggled, though, after taking just two wickets and giving up runs at an average of 65.
In the T20I series against Australia, Prasidh also participated and, in the questionable record he created, had the poorest bowling numbers of any Indian in the shortest format.
He completed with stats of 4-0-68-0 in the third Twenty20 International of the series at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, where Australia won by five wickets after chasing down 223 off the final ball.
Prasidh was faced with a last over where he needed to stop Glenn Maxwell from scoring a hundred runs, but he was unable to do so.
