Applications for the internship program are invited by the Ministry of External Affairs; see eligibility and deadlines. Applications are being accepted for internship positions at the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
January 14, 2024 is the deadline for MEA internship applications. Interested parties may apply by going to internship.mea.gov.in, the official website.
MEA offers internships twice a year, from April to September and October to March, each lasting six months. Applications for the first term of the MEA internship program in 2024 are now being accepted.
Each intern will get an honorarium of Rs 10,000 per month to help with living expenses. The MEA internship website stated that the cost of one-time round-trip airfare, up to the maximum of the current economy class airfare, from the state capital to Delhi, from the candidates’ home state or from their college or university, will be covered.
During their internship, the interns will be in charge of finding and paying for their own housing and boarding in Delhi.
The names of the shortlisted applicants and invitations to interviews will be released by MEA on January 19, after the application window closing on January 14. The date of the interviews is February 3. The chosen candidates will be revealed on February 9, 2024.
A minimum of one month and a maximum of six months will be allotted to each intern. On April 1, 2024, the MEA internship 2024 term 1 program will start.
All Indian citizens who meet the minimum educational requirement of a graduate degree from an accredited university are eligible to apply for the MEA internship programs.
Students who are in their last year of graduation and whose final year curriculum requires them to complete an internship are also eligible to apply.
