The recent flare-up between Israel and Palestine started in the last few weeks of Ramadan and ends after 11 days with a ceasefire. Although the world has witnessed brutality and disproportionate use of force by Israel resulting in heavy casualties, loss of innocent lives, and collateral damage in Gaza. The victory belongs to Palestine which was very much clear and evident as mentioned in Quran,’’ Indeed, we have given you a clear conquest. So That Allah may forgive for you what preceded of your sin and what will follow and complete His favor upon you and guide you to the straight path.’’ (48:1,2)
It is a well-known fact that Israel audaciously violated all international laws and resolutions mandating for the immediate halt of illegal expansion-drive and settlement in occupied territories. Furthermore, the storming of heavily armed forces inside the Al-Aqsa complex and attacking the pilgrim gathered to celebrate the auspicious night of Qadr. Netanyahu wanted to frighten the public of Israel for gaining popularity and political mileage by igniting the situation. However, he faced a backlash within Israel and from the rest of the world for this barbaric act.
Although some of the world superpower countries indebted with Zionist’s predominance like USA, UK, and few others, as usual, came in the defense Israel giving statements and legitimizing the right of Israel for self-defense and even announcing the defense aid packages. However, the same countries have failed miserably to demonstrate their prowess and mettle to force Israel for complying with international laws and resolutions time again.
Everyone in the Arab world stood behind Palestine like a rock especially the youngsters displayed the solidarity with people of Palestine in whatever way possible reflecting the public sentiments and no mood to tolerate the onslaught on their innocent brethren.
Similar reactions were evident in many other parts of the world. The overwhelming support in favor of Palestine was seen from the ordinary public in the USA, UK, and other Western countries and even some elected senate members. The most surprising element was the support of many Jews human rights activists who have risen above the party line advocating justice for the oppressed.
The victory of Palestine in this conflict was marked the complete failure of the plans of Israel as Quran says,” They devised a plan, and Allah devised a plan. And Allah is the best of the planners.” (3:54).
Israel doesn’t want to contend with the complete occupation of Palestinian territories but to expand beyond it and the formation of Greater Israel. This plan is very well documented in the blueprint of the Zionist State prepared long back before the start of the war of 1948.
Initially, it will be as initiated as a pretext of bilateral commercial and consular relation with the other Arab countries, and later on, the expansion drive will be materialized. The recent episode of flare-up could be an eye-opener for all states who are keen on starting commercial and consular relations with Israel and make the Superpowers of the world happy. By doing so, they will be inviting the public resentment, jeopardizing the peace of the region, and opening doors for the evil and wicked invader.
The determination of the Gazan people was seen as a beacon for all oppressed populations in different parts of the world. The possession of a stockpile of arms, forces, weaponry, and might is not sufficient for winning the battles. The foremost thing needed is help from Allah which will be certain for the people who are on the right path as mentioned in Quran, ‘And you will obtain another favor that you love- victory from Allah and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers.’ (61:13).
