The recent, storming of heavily armed soldiers in the Al Aqsa Complex and opening fire with rubber bullets on the unarmed people in the month of Ramadan is an act of terrorism by Israel. The civilized world shouldn’t become a mere spectator and witness this tragedy unfold without any action. It has become a routine affair for Israel to forcefully expand the land for settlers by displacing the Palestinians keeping all international laws and norms at bay. Furthermore, every year mostly in Ramadan the aggression and use of force aggravate substantially.
The various parties need to act strongly include the UN, the US, all the countries with diplomatic ties with Israel, all the other countries intending to establish diplomatic ties, the human rights agencies, and groups. The action shouldn’t be comprising of meager condemnation and criticism as it won’t have any impact on the audacious and arrogance of Israel.
United Nations, despite passing numerous resolutions couldn’t enforce its resolution. When an organization of universal stature fails to establish justice and peace the basic purpose of its existence is questionable. It won’t be wrong to say that such organizations are serving as picnic spots for the world leaders to gather, make fun and disappear after the regular photo sessions. United State despite being considered as superpower why act spineless when comes to Israel? President Biden has turned down almost all the decisions taken by previous President Trump except about the relocation of its embassy from Jerusalem. It looks that American might is reserved for the weaker nations where it interferes in the name of restoration of democracy.
The other countries who have diplomatic ties with Israel should reprimand the Israeli envoy and threaten to dismantle ties in the wake of constant violation of the resolutions of the united nations. The other countries who are eager in opening the diplomatic ties must act with restraining and retrospect the current situation before moving forward. The international human rights agencies and groups should reinforce their offices in Israel and occupied territories to fathom the human rights violations.
When the entire world is in the grip of a pandemic Israel must not continue its strides in such turbulent times. It looks that many viruses don’t have vaccines so far; injustice and aggression are few among them.
