After a terrible run-out in the first Twenty20 International, Yuvraj Singh uses no holds allowed in his ‘apply your brains’ statement on Abhishek Sharma’s post.

While one fan predicted that the young player would soon face a serious setback, Yuvraj Singh spared no words in his message to Abhishek Sharma, adding

Yuvraj Singh, a former Indian cricketer and coach, unexpectedly showed up on Abhishek Sharma’s Instagram post to issue a harsh warning following the opener’s appalling run-out dismissal in the first edition of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Gwalior on Sunday.

Abhishek Sharma, who returned to action after a two-month break, continued where he left off in the T20I series against Zimbabwe, where he scored a century off of 47 balls. In the IPL 2024 season, Sharma made a brilliant start to Bangladesh’s pursuit of 128 runs. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old’s seven-ball knock of sixteen came to an abrupt end due to a misunderstanding with fellow opener Sanju Samson. After steering the ball towards mid-wicket, the latter promptly declined the single, but Abhishek was still a long way from his crease when Towhid Hridoy’s powerful smash got him.

India managed to chase down the score in 12 overs because to blitzkrieg blows from Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, so the removal had little effect on them. Later, Abhishek shared a glimpse from the opening Twenty20 International match against Bangladesh on Instagram along with the caption, “Every run, every ball–it’s all for the team.”

A fan predicted that the young player would suffer a serious setback, but Yuvraj did not hold back when he told Abhishek, “Only if we apply our brains properly.”

The part Yuvraj plays in Abhishek’s hard-hitting game

Although, the two-time World Cup winner called it “good” when Abhishek was dismissed for a duck on his international debut, the later applauded his Punjab senior after he bounced back with a ton in the next game.

“I don’t know why, but he was really happy when I was out on zero,” Yuvraj stated when I spoke with him yesterday. He replied that’s a good start. In a video, he said to BCCI.tv, “I think he must be very proud of me just like my family.”

He’s the reason I’m playing at this level. The effort he has invested in me. He has put in a lot of effort over the previous two to three years, both on and off the field, for my cricket, Abhishek continued.
