Santosh Viswanathan is named chief of the India area by Intel

On Friday, the computer chip manufacturer Intel announced that Santosh Viswanathan will take over as Managing Director (MD) of the India region business. Viswanathan has worked for Intel for almost twenty-one years.

“To capitalise on the nation’s tremendous growth and business potential, Intel announced in March of this year that it would be establishing India as a distinct area under its SMG (Sales, Marketing and Communications Group) division. The newly created region will be led by Santhosh Viswanathan, VP and MD-India region, who will use his experience to promote value and customer-centricity, according to Intel.

In July 2022, Viswanathan assumed responsibility for the Indian business as Vice President and Managing Director. Intel has now distinguished India as a distinct region.

Hans Chuang has been appointed as the General Manager (GM) of SMG Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), the firm also announced. Hans, who is based in Taiwan, will be in charge of Intel’s whole operations in the Asia-Pacific area. This includes boosting revenue growth, interacting with the local ecosystem to generate new opportunities, and fortifying connections with current partners and customers, according to Intel.
