Delhi’s air quality declines once further, with some areas being classified as “very poor” and “severe.” According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the Central Pollution Index (AQI) for Delhi experienced a decline to’severe’ in multiple locations on Wednesday. The AQI was 405 in Dwarka, 447 in Bawana, 405 in Ashok Vihar, and 429 in Jahangirpuri.Delhi's air quality declines once further, with some areas being classified as "very poor" and "severe."

In contrast, the AQI was recorded at 378 in Anand Vihar, 374 in Burari Crossing, and 392 in Lodhi Road in other locations, where the air quality remained “very poor”.

A little below average, 10.6 degrees Celsius was the lowest recorded temperature. At 8:30 am, the relative humidity was measured at 76%.

An AQI of 0–50 is regarded as “good,” 51–100 as “satisfactory,” 101–200 as “moderate,” 201–300 as “poor,” 301–400 as “very poor,” 401–450 as “severe,” and 450 and above as “severe plus.”

At 4 p.m. on Tuesday, the city’s 24-hour average AQI was 372, down from 348 on Monday and 301 on Sunday. On Saturday, 405 on Friday, and 419 on Thursday, it was 319.

In light of the decrease in air pollution levels brought on by favorable wind speed and direction, the Center lifted strict limits on Saturday, including a prohibition on construction activities associated with linear projects and the entry of trucks that emit pollution into Delhi.

Another government directive stated that since the AQI has improved and there is no sign of a significant decline anytime soon, all Delhi schools would reopen on Monday, November 20.

These actions make up the last phase, or Stage IV, of the Center’s Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP), which is its strategy for reducing air pollution.

The Commission for Air Quality Management in the National Capital Region and Adjoining Areas (CAQM) stated that the air quality forecasts issued by the Indian Meteorological Department/Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology do not show a sharp decline in
