Faf’s six, which was sent hurtling out of the stadium and left both Maxwell and Kohli speechless, stood out and kind of broke the internet.

The second game of the ongoing IPL 2023 was played at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday night, and it was a boundary fest. RCB amassed a staggering total of 212 runs against Lucknow Super Giants for the loss of just one wicket, with 12 boundaries and 15 maximums being hit. But, the RCB captain Faf du Plessis’ enormous six-pointer that was sent sailing out of the stadium stood out and somewhat shattered the internet.

This really astounded both Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli. (Live Score: RCB vs. LSG, IPL 2023)

When Lucknow leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi was bowling against the former South Africa captain, it happened in the game’s fifteenth over. Du Plessis held back before launching it for a massive 115m six, straight over the Chinnaswamy roof in the sky. In his IPL career, that was unquestionably one of his longest sixes.

Du Plessis was stunned by his own accomplishment. Yet, the reaction to that hit by Maxwell and Kohli was the crucial moment. Maxwell was struck speechless as the replay of the shot was shown, and as he turned to face Du Plessis, he couldn’t stop laughing.I couldn’t have hit that far, Kohli was heard saying to his RCB teammate while he was seated in the dugout.

In the end, the RCB captain struck an undefeated 79, while Maxwell added 59 as Bangalore amassed 212 runs to discredit Lucknow’s attack. As he made his remarkable 46th half-century in the IPL and second in the 2023 season en route to his knock of 61 runs earlier in the evening, Kohli had established himself as the aggressor.

Maxwell and Du Plessis put together a 115-run stand after he was dismissed in the 12th over. After losing to Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday at Eden Gardens, RCB is seeking their second victory of the 2023 IPL. But in their home opener, RCB had beaten the five-time champion Mumbai Indians.
