How effective and stable the newly formed alliance will be? Will it promote peace and stability in the region?

The new government headed by Neftali Bennett has taken oath in Israel dethroning Netanyahu after twelve years of the successive rule which was marked by brutal conflicts between Arabs and Israel. However, Kingmaker’s title for the new government belongs to Mansour Abbas who had broken the stereotype and supported the right-wing Bennett to form the new government ending the Netanyahu era.
Mansour Abbas has been considered opportunistic by many for compromising ethics and joining hands with the far-right Jews party. However, he needs to be credited for his stern and tough negotiation with Jews to settle for an agreement. Earlier, Netanyahu was also trying to influence Mansour Abbas to win over his side for the new government. However, he couldn’t garner his support over the issue of settlement in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood resulting in a war between Israel and Palestinians.
The monocratic approach of Netanyahu manoeuvring public sentiments to secure power and popularity by undermining all others has contributed to his ousting. All other major parties including the far-right, right-wing, centralist, and Islamist Arab parties came together to form a grand alliance, to dethrone Netanyahu.
How effective and stable the newly formed alliance will be? Will it promote peace and stability in the region? What will happen to the settlement issue which is regarded as the main point of contention between the Palestinian and Israel? How much influence Mansour Abbas will have on the new government and its policies? These are some of the key questions whose answers will be given by the future.
For the time being, the action of Mansour Abbas to play a vital role in the government formation is key topic of analysis and debates. However, one thing is certain that Arabs started playing a key role in the internal politics of Israel by their electoral presence and power.
