The profane language and the coarse word used by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for an ANI camera person exposes his real face . I am sorry to say but most of the males in the Indian society use this word with no compunctions , because it’s part of their verbal lexicon and they were never told not to use the word. Indian males consider this word as an exhibition and expression of their boyishness / manly demeanour and perhaps they were never corrected , Well I guess that’s part of upbringing
But coming to the more important question of how Honourable Chief Minister took the poor ANI cameraperson for granted by hurling the invective and then using his power and position to claim that the viral video of his approbrious language was doctored. All BJP supporters including GODI media / ENBA Awardees were silent . Guys isn’t this so shameful and insulting, doesn’t this shake u up as a journalist .
I would have expected ANI’s Smita Prakash to give a befitting reply to Yogi Adityanath that how dare he speaks to her cameraperson in that manner, would have expected Smita Prakash to say ‘ so what if you are CM, but your chair doesn’t give u the liberty to speak to anyone in that manner’ . Sadly this did not happen , infact ANI reshot the video , and after being exposed by fact checking sites has got more egg on its face . Its very clear ANI did not want to rub Yogi the wrong way …….but in the course of this episode again it’s proven how media prostrates before the powerful to the extent of losing its spine.
Guys it’s really not worth it .where is media’s conscience , where is media’s self respect ? Where are those Editor’s who can stand up for their reporters or cameramen , , where are those leaders inside newsrooms who could scare the politicians with their questions ? It’s all part of History books but I have no qualms in saying that Its going to hit hard and we hard one day .
Media one day will be bitten with the same poison which it’s enjoying currently and njoying blindly I must say in the need for survival by becoming a yes man to the powers that may be . Until this self realisation dawn’s on people within d media , there will be many more Yogi Adityanaths who will unabashedly continue to crush , plunder and pulverise your spirit And will continue to adress you as government slaves!!
Wake up Media !. Don’t sell your principles, don’t sell ur conscience !!
