Popular Front of India has demanded strong and stern action against the culprit who set ablaze sister Gulnaz and killing her in Bihar.

In a press conference at Purnia, Bihar, PFI has put three demands for the justice of victim which was one of the most tragic incident in recent time.

The  victim was killed because she refused to marry one of the accused, Satish Rai. In a video statement to the police, Gulnaz said, “I was going to throw garbage around 6 pm when Satish Rai, son of Vinay Rai poured kerosene over me and set me ablaze with a match stick”.

Satish was harassing her and pressurizing her for marriage. She even requested him to not pester her as marriage was out of question. She is reported to have stated reasons of different religious backgrounds as the main hindrance in them getting married.

It has been more than two weeks since the incident took place, and the accused haven’t been tracked or punished yet.

The first demand from PFI  urged the Bihar police to make a strong case with strong charges so that culprits do not escape.

Secondly, 50 lakh compensation should be given to the victim’s family.

Thirdly, police should provide security to the victim’s family as they are facing threats.
Popular front assured the victim’s family of supporting them till we get justice for sister Gulnaz.

The press meet was addressed by National Gen. Secretary Anis Ahmed, Bihar State President & Gen. Secretary Mahboob Alam and Mohammed Sanaullah.
