Admission to IIT Madras Data Science 2024: Where and how to apply for a BS in IITM

On October 27, 2024, the qualifying exam will take place, and on November 1, 2024, the results will be made public.

Qualifications

Applicants will not need to take or pass the GATE test in order to apply for this course.

No matter their age or academic background, candidates who have completed Class 12 or its equivalent are eligible to apply. Those who are eligible can start the program right once. Students can apply regardless of their group, stream, or board as long as they have taken the Class 11 final exams. After passing Class 12, those who meet the requirements can enroll in the program.

How to Utilize

  • Applicants can use the procedures listed below to apply for the Data Science course.
  • Go to iitm.ac.in, the official website of IIT Madras.
  • Select the link labeled “Study at IITM” that appears on the homepage ticker.
  • The Non-Campus BS degree will be the option that candidates must select from a new drop-down box.
  • A new page will emerge when you click on the Data Science course once more.
  • Click the registration link now and complete the information.
  • After that, complete the application by logging into the account.
  • After completing the application fee payment, click “Submit.”
  • Save a hard copy of the page after downloading it in case you need it later.

Application Costs

The application cost is ₹3000 for candidates in the General category or OBC, ₹1500 for applicants in the SC/ST category or PwD (>= 40% disability), and ₹750 for applicants in the SC/ST category who are also PwD (>= 40% disability). If students want to take the qualifying exam at an exam center outside of India, they will be charged an extra exam facilitation cost. Online payment processing is the preferred method.
