All India Mili Council, Gujarat expressed concern and condemned over the mob lynching of three people including two sadhus in Palghar district, Maharashtra recently. Gujarat Milli council described lynching as horrific, gruesome and against humanity.
Its president Mufti Rizwan Tarapuri said here on Tuesday that it is reminiscent of attack and mob killings of many Muslims and Dalits in last couple years. Such incidents must have no place in civilised society. He said the hate campaign and mobocracy unleashed by some fanatics are the responsible for such crime. Had stern action taken in past against mob lynching of minorities might have stopped such blood thirsty people, he added.
Its general secretary Abdul Hafiz Lakhani who is also editor of Gujarat siyasat newspaper said that Gujarat Milli council has already demanded for Anti mob lynching law in past when spurt of such cases were seen in recent years. He added that there should not be any communal or religious angle. He exhorted Maharashtra government to take strongest possible action in this barbaric incident.
