The exam for candidates in Delhi for the CUET UG 2024 scheduled for May 15 will instead take place on May 29, as NTA revealed in a formal notice on Tuesday.

CUET UG 2024: On Tuesday, citing “manpower issues,” the National Testing Agency (NTA) postponed the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2024 for Delhi.

The exam date has been moved to May 29, 2024. Candidates appearing in centres throughout Delhi will receive updated admission cards, the NTA stated in an official announcement.

This postponement occurs just hours before the exam, scheduled for May 15, opens at exam locations nationwide. The NTA asserts that the ongoing Lok Sabha elections are to blame for the personnel shortage that led to this postponement. “CUET UG is conducted on a wide scale, and invigilators are deployed along with various exam centres that we have chosen for this process. However, because of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, we were having trouble finding enough invigilators in Delhi exam centres for the exam scheduled for May 15. Therefore, NTA has decided to hold the exam on May 15 following the election, which is on May 29, an NTA representative told IndianExpress.com.

The exam set for May 15 will, however, proceed in all other locations in the nation (such as Gurugram, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, and Noida) and overseas, in accordance with the previously announced schedule. Additional exams slated for May 16, 17, and 18 will take place on time at all centres, including the Delhi centres.
