On October 17, 2024, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (ITT-D) Technology Innovation Hub will host the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge 2024-2025, an educational robotics competition centred on the United Nations. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a specialised organisation of the United Nations for information and communication technology, is in charge of overseeing the competition.

The Robotics for Good Youth Challenge is an ITU global effort that is a component of AI for Good, the premier action-oriented, inclusive, and global United Nations (UN) artificial intelligence (AI) platform.
There will be two age categories competing: juniors (classes 6–8) and seniors (classes 9–12). The International Exhibition Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, is the venue for the event.
The victor of this phase will be eligible to compete internationally for the main prize at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva in 2025.
In order to further the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN, candidates or teams willing to design, construct, and programme a robot to address challenges related to seismic risk prediction, soil and subsurface studies, and disasters like earthquakes are welcome to enter the competition.
Every two years, this tournament offers Indian students a chance to demonstrate their robotics prowess and promote their innovative robotic solutions for disaster relief and sustainable development on a worldwide scale.
