A placement officer is a person who works at educational institutions or training organizations and is tasked with assisting trainees or students in finding jobs that align with their career objectives, abilities, and qualifications.

Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Placement Officer at Microtek College of Management & Technology Varanasi & Jaunpur. The Placement Officer will be responsible for campus placement activities, career counseling, conducting training sessions, and providing education and guidance to students.

Responsibilities:

1. Placement Coordination:

  • Facilitate the placement process by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with leading companies, recruiters, and industry professionals.
  • Actively engage with employers to understand their hiring needs and requirements, and effectively promote our students for suitable job openings.
  • Organize on-campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and other placement events to maximize student participation and placement opportunities.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and emerging job opportunities to tailor placement strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and department heads to integrate industry-relevant curriculum and experiential learning opportunities into academic programs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in placement coordination, career counseling, or related roles within the education sector.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, including employers, students, faculty, and alumni.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant data management software.

  • Excellent on record keeping.
