Republic Day participants will be able to make up missed exams at DU. According to an official on Thursday, students from Delhi University who are taking part in the Republic Day parade will be offered a “special chance” to make up missing exams.
As per the official statement, the university is contemplating providing a comparable reprieve for students who represent the university in national and international athletic competitions, such the Olympics.
OSD examination Ajay Arora told PTI that the final-year students who are a part of the Delhi contingent of NCC would have the opportunity to ensure that their academic year is not squandered and they receive their degrees on schedule by participating in the march on January 26 at the Kartavya walk.
After determining the amount of students who will need the relaxation, the institution can think about allowing first- and second-year students to participate in the Republic Day procession for this opportunity, he continued.
Final-year Delhi University students who were preoccupied with parade rehearsal and were unable to attend the exam during that time will have a unique opportunity, according to Arora.
According to Arora, a datesheet will be made available shortly, and the tests will be scheduled to accommodate students’ schedules and prevent conflicts with other papers.
“We want to inspire children to gain knowledge from activities outside of the classroom. It is crucial that they take part in and receive exposure from these events in order to achieve that. Young people’s sense of nationalism will also be bolstered by this, according to Arora.
In honor of the Delhi Contingent, 2,274 cadets, including students from Delhi University, will participate in the NCC Republic Day march past this year. There will be a record-breaking 907 female cadets participating in the Republic Day parade.
