Aakash Chopra claims that Rohit Sharma will head the T20I team going forward, replacing Hardik Pandya.
According to Aakash Chopra, Rohit Sharma’s decision to captain the T20I team again for the series against Afghanistan is a hint that, even in the event that Hardik Pandya returns, Sharma will represent the team at the World Cup as well.

Chopra went on to say that even if Hardik goes back to the side, he doesn’t think he will be the captain. The former cricket player said that there was very little likelihood that Rohit would be selected for the team and not serve as captain.
“Don’t expect Hardik to take over as captain after he returns. I’m almost ready to put it in writing. Though I can’t promise anything, there’s a very slim chance Rohit won’t be playing and won’t be captain “said Chopra.
