When the temperature drops, thick fog covers Delhi-NCR, and five aircraft are diverted to Jaipur. Tuesday morning brought heavy fog and a chilly morning in Delhi and the surrounding districts of the National Capital Region (NCR) as the cold wave continued to encircle northern India.
Tuesday’s flight operations at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport were also hampered by low visibility at 150 meters, according to data as of 5:30 a.m.
Additionally, the airport officials sent out a passenger notice alerting them to the possibility that fog would interfere with flight operations.
The weather at Delhi airport caused five planes to be diverted to Jaipur between 8.30 and 10 am at the time this article was written, according to airport sources.
The nation’s capital was shrouded in dense fog, making visibility poor. In the city, the minimum temperature fell to 7 degrees Celsius.
The meteorological service said that there was very dense fog in certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, and Odisha; moderate fog in certain areas of West Uttar Pradesh; and shallow fog in certain areas of Chandigarh, Bihar, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Tripura.
