After their trip to the West Indies, players had a 13-day conditioning regimen. A full body scan will also be performed with the World Cup in mind.

The 13-day schedule was given to players who had just returned from the West Indies trip and were not participating in the current three-match T20 series against Ireland. All-arounders Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, quick bowlers Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, as well as captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, are included in this group. (File)

Top players who completed a 13-day fitness programme will have a full body checkup, including a blood test, when the Indian cricket team gathers for a training camp at Alur, Bangalore, beginning on Thursday in preparation for the Asia Cup in Sri Lanka. The BCCI does not want to take a chance in a World Cup year, therefore trainers will examine their physical fitness, and any who don’t satisfy requirements will be pulled up.

The workout regimen, which was to be followed from August 9–22, was split into two sections with a rest day in between. It is intended to prevent an injury that could end India’s World Cup campaign and was created to keep every player in the greatest condition possible.
