Early Watch Alerts
- This process identifies potential problems early, avoids bottlenecks, and monitors the performance of your ABAP and JAVA systems and your most important business processes, regularly, automatically and effectively.
- The ABAP data collection infrastructure is the Service Data Control Center, and the JAVA data collection infrastructure is the root-cause analysis data which is read from the SAP Solution Manager Business Intelligence (BI).
- The SAP Early Watch Alert in the SAP Solution Manager is a service provided by SAP.
SAP Early Watch Alert Set-Up Settings
Tx. :- DSWP
Select the “Early Watch Alert” of required system..
Clicking on “Call Service Data Control Center” will take you to the selected managed system….
Click “Create” and select “Refresh Session”…
Use Trusted RFC in between Managed system and SolMan….
Check for the above created task in the list, and click “Refresh”….
Click “Start Now”…..
This will start the task of sending data to SolMan, from managed system….
Select the same system again,from DSWP screen and click on “Start Service Processing”….
You start a background job to process data for the current solution.
The job processes session data and prepares EWA and other sessions for displaying ,while the job is running ,you can monitor it be selecting the System ->Own Jobs. When the job is finished REFRESH the solution .
Sessions which the system processed now have a rating icon.
This shows the JOB overview of the various jobs and the various details of the Job.
We can select the various states for the report to be generated that is
Scheduled , Released , ready , active, finished, cancelled by selecting the following options we can get the Report of the Jobs accordingly.
Once this job is finished, EWA data for the required system will be available in DSWP screen of SolMan….
