The IAF’s admission exam, AFCAT 2024, took place from August 9–11. The exam is intended for 304 Group “A” Gazetted Officers from the organization’s Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches.

AFCAT 2024 result: What are applicants’ next steps?
AFCAT-qualified applicants will need to show up for the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) exam as part of the next round of the selection process. It is a two-step procedure.
Phase I examination
Officer intelligence rating system.
Test of debate and picture perception.
AFSB’s first stage is a screening exam. The following four to five days will be used for the second stage, which those who pass this level can participate in. The CPSS testing day is the sixth (flying branch).
Phase Two Examination
written or psychological exams administered by a psychologist.
Group assessments: Interactive exercises that combine mental and physical labor that take place both indoors and outdoors.
Interview: A private discussion with the officer conducting the interview.
In addition to being recommended, candidates who apply for the flying branch must also take the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) exam.
