8 hours of internet restriction in Assam for Sunday’s recruitment exam

On Sunday, Assam will restrict mobile internet access for eight hours in order to stop cheating during the Grade III posts written test.
Assam’s mobile internet connections will be unavailable for eight hours on Sunday, September 22, for the second time this month, to stop cheating during the written exam for the recruitment test for Grade III positions.

The statement from the secretary of the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) for Class-III Posts stated, “All are requested to bear with the inconvenience in the interest of holding a free, fair and transparent recruitment examination and thereby securing the future of the youths of the state.”

When the first round of the written test for Grade III positions was held on September 15, mobile internet connections were shut down for three and a half hours.

On Sunday, there will be two parts to the written exams for the Assam Direct Recruitment Examination (ADRE), which is for Grade III positions at the bachelor degree and HSLC levels.

Nine in the morning to twelve in the afternoon, and one and a half hours to four and a half hours.

7,34,080 applicants in all are qualified to take the exams, which will be held all around the state.

According to the statement, despite the fact that complex plans had been put in place to organize the test in a transparent manner, it has been noted in Assam and other states that dishonest people have engaged in unfair practices by utilizing different mobile applications.

“There is a significant concern that organized groups or antisocial elements could attempt to exploit the situation by spreading false information on social media and disrupt the examination process,” the statement read.

According to the statement, some would even attempt to use social media to sell phony exam papers.

In order to guarantee that there were “no loopholes in the examination process which might have the potential to create doubt in the public mind on the fairness of the recruitment process,” the decision to suspend mobile internet access was made, according to the announcement.

Meanwhile, according to another official statement, all preparations have been made to guarantee a seamless and open administration of the test.
