SAP HCM

Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) offers a comprehensive human resource management solution known as SAP HCM, or SAP Human Capital Management. It is intended to support businesses in successfully and efficiently managing their human resources. A number of modules under SAP HCM handle different aspects of HR. In January 2022, I last updated my knowledge. SAP SuccessFactors, the company’s cloud-based HR solution, has been replacing the SAP HCM suite.

Among the main features and modules of SAP HCM (on-premise) are:

Organizational Management (OM): This module aids in the definition and administration of organizational components, including organizational units and reporting hierarchies.

Personnel Administration (PA): PA is in charge of maintaining master data on employees, which includes private and work-related information.

Job Description 

Experience: 7 to 15 Years

Notice Period: Immediate or less than 30 days

Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of 8-9 years of experience in SAP HCM with S/4 HANA expertise.
  • SAP HCM certification is mandatory.
  • Prior experience working on Government/PSU projects is required.
  • Willingness to work from the client’s location is essential.
  • Proficiency in SAP integration, particularly with MM & FICO modules.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least 4-5 end-to-end Indian implementations involving Payroll & Time Management.
  • Strong understanding and exposure to WRICEF objects and F.S creation.
  • Excellent proficiency in both English and Hindi communication.
  • Familiarity with third-party integrations with SAP HCM, such as Biometrics.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian Payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Flexibility to work from the office as needed.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in configuring PCR (Personnel Calculation Rules).
  • Expertise in configuring payroll tables.
  • Understanding of wage type characteristics including Processing and Cumulation classes.
  • Experience in configuring payroll postings.
  • Knowledge of statutory Infotypes.
  • Ability to configure payslips.
  • Proficiency in generating statutory reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain system documentation and process flows.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of security and authorization concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated with SAP HCM best practices and new features.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience in SAP HCM implementation and support.
  • Proficiency in SAP HCM configuration and customization.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.
  • Experience in SAP Payroll configuration and processing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in SAP HCM.
  • Familiarity with Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service functionality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in SAP HCM is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori and SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.
  • Understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
