As one of the best all-rounders India has ever produced, Kieron Pollard stands up for Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya is one of the greatest “all-rounders” India has ever produced, according to Mumbai Indians batting coach Kieron Pollard, who also predicts that soon the supporters would “sing praises for him.”

“I’m not sure whether that will impact his self-assurance. After Mumbai lost by 20 runs to Chennai at the Wankhede Stadium, Pollard remarked, “He is a confident guy, he has been great around the group.”

Pandya has scored 131 runs at a strike rate of 145.56 in his six innings as captain of the Mumbai Indians. He has also claimed three wickets at an economy rate of 12.00.

Regarding Hardik’s batting style, Pollard remarked, “As an individual you have to evolve.”

“You have the exuberance of youth while you are young. You act in a specific way when you go out and accomplish stuff. Accountability and duty begin to set in as one ages.
