Yashasvi Jaiswal levels in IND versus ENG The record of Virat Kohli in the England Test series. As he maintains his excellent form at the bat, Yashasvi Jaiswal has tied Virat Kohli for the most runs scored by an Indian hitter in a bilateral Test series against England.
Prior to taking the field in the Ranchi Test’s second innings, Jaiswal had 618 runs, and he only needed 37 more to match Kohli’s record. During England’s tour of India in 2016–17, the top batter from India set the record.
After coming dangerously close to losing a DRS review against Tom Hartley in the morning, Jaiswal rallied to tie the score with a pair of boundaries off Shoaib Bashir. However, Joe Root and an outstanding catch by James Anderson put an end to his time at the crease.

In the 1990 series in England, Gooch scored 752 runs, while Root scored 737 during the 2021–22 series.
