India against. England, 2nd Test: Avesh Khan rejoins the team, Mohammed Siraj is removed from the Indian squad.
The BCCI released a statement announcing that Avesh Khan has returned to the Indian team and that bowler Mohammed Sira has been released from the squad ahead of the second Test in Visakhapatnam.
The BCCI said in a statement, “The decision was taken keeping in mind the duration of the series and the amount of cricket he has played in recent times.”
“He will be eligible for selection for Rajkot’s third Test.”
Avesh Khan, who was asked to join his state side Madhya Pradesh for the Ranji Trophy after being dropped from the team prior to the first Test, has returned to the team.
“For the second Test, Avesh Khan has returned to the team.”Three changes have been made to India’s starting lineup.
KL is injured Kuldeep Yadav and Rajat Patidar, who is playing in his first Test match, have replaced Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. Mohammed Siraj is replaced by Mukesh Kumar.
Conversely, England has changed a few things from their previous victory. In place of the injured Jack Leach, off-spinner Shoaib Bashir is making his debut, and Mark Wood will be replaced by James Anderson.
