India’s Mumbai-Guwahati Owing to fog and low visibility, the Go aircraft lands in Dhaka. Due to fog and poor visibility, an IndiGo flight scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on Friday was rerouted to Dhaka, Bangladesh.

From Mumbai, the IndiGo aircraft 6e5319 had taken off.

According to news agency ANI, IndiGo said in a statement that a different crew was being scheduled to run the Dhaka to Guwahati flight for operational reasons.

Congress’s Suraj Singh Thakur, who said he was on the diverted IndiGo flight, verified the jet couldn’t land in Guwahati.

“I traveled to Guwahati on IndiGo airline 6E 5319 from Mumbai. But the plane was unable to land in Guwahati because of the thick fog. Rather, it touched down in Dhaka. Now that we are onboard the aircraft, every passenger in Bangladesh is traveling without a passport. On X, the minister wrote.

On Saturday, the national capital of India saw its lowest morning temperature of the winter season, with a low of 3.6 degrees Celsius.

Train operations in the city were impeded by a thick layer of fog.

Because of the ongoing cold wave, the weather service has issued a red notice for Delhi, Punjab, and Haryana for this Saturday.

For Sunday, there is also an orange alert in effect.

Additionally, the meteorological service stated that until January 16, there is little chance that the heavy fog and current cold wave conditions will stop in any portion of northwest India for the next three to four days.
