Solapur (Maharashtra) In a recent educational development in the city Solapur people specifically minority community has got a fantastic news of newly opened science degree college.
Dr.Asadullah Khan English High school &Jr college has got Science degree college approved from the state government and Punya Shlok Ahilya Devi Holkar University, Solapur three days ago and it has started admission process for Bachelor in Science (BSc) from Friday itself.
Khan campus, Hiotgi Road,Solapur is the initiative of Dr. Asadullah Khan who is the General Secretary of the Ünique Education Society , Mumbra ,Dist.Thane. After having discussions with educational personalities of the city he had finally decided to lay foundation of a well equipped and education friendly campus to impart quality education in supportive infrastructure in 2018.
He bought a plot of ten acres and started construction of school buildings ground ,swimming pool etc in full swing. Now around 40 classrooms are ready. According the management covid19 pandemic has hit the development badly ,they just have completed 50% work of the proposed plan. As said, 250 class rooms will be constructed to accommodate about 15 thousand students.
Head Master Asif Iqbal said that instead of conducting educational seminars, conferences Muslims should give more stress on opening English medium schools and other institutions. He says, practical work more important which Dr.Asadullah Khan has done for Solapur.As far as I know Dr Khan is investing huge amount and keen to give an ideal educational Campus to Solapur, we must thank Vice chancellor madam Mrinali Fadnavis and University senate member Eijaz Manzoor Alam for their kind cooperation ,Asif added.
According Irfan SM (Rtd Teacher) It is a great news for all of us , eventually decades long wait, discussion, criticism etc come to an end,Dr.Asadullah deserves applause for this achievement.
He further said, Its a long term investment ,if khan campus maintains quality of education, descipline and fulfill other requirements skilfully ,it will surely emerge as an ideal educational institution of the Solapur city.We know that Dr.Khan has an experience of running an educational institutions successfully,he will set up an inspiring example before us,Irfan added.
Dr.Asadullah said that At KHAN campus, we feel proud to announce that the Degree college has been started at our campus. There are number of future plans for changing educational scenario of poor, underpreviledged and minority students of Solapur. Subjects like computer engineering, bio technology, crop science agricultural science will be introduced very soon. We have planned to start UPSC/MPSC preparation center.After the construction of hostels other important courses will also be started.
