Obama Criticizes Trump

Unexpectedly, on Monday, Donald Trump complimented former President Barack Obama and his spouse, Michelle, in an interview with CNN. Trump, who has had disagreements with Obama in the past, called him a “nice gentleman” and said he respected the former president and his spouse.

“Something wonderfully magical is in the air, isn’t it?” Michelle said as she was showered with applause on the second night of the convention.

“Not only is it felt in this arena, but it’s spreading throughout our beautiful country. A sentiment that’s been too long hidden and too familiar. What am I talking about, do you know? It’s hope’s infectious force!

Michelle Obama draws a stark contrast between Harris and Trump.

She attempted to create parallels between Kamala Harris and the Republican leader by mentioning Donald Trump while repeating her tagline, “When they go low, we go high.”

“Kamala understands that most of us will never be afforded the grace of failing forward, which is why she has shown her allegiance to this country—not by spewing anger and bitterness, but by living a life of service and always pushing the doors of opportunity open to others,” Michelle said.

Harris is “as more than ready for this moment,” in her words. “One of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency,” she continued, referring to the US vice president.

Kamala Harris stated that Trump made every attempt to instill fear in people and that she has a profound appreciation for the hidden labor and unwavering dedication that have always defined America’s greatness.

Because of his constrained perspective on the world, he perceived two successful Black individuals who are also hardworking and highly educated as threats to his limited worldview.

Michelle Obama criticizes Trump on “Black jobs” and wealth.

She made fun of Trump by posing the question, “Who’s going to tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those ‘Black jobs’?”

The statement made reference to Trump’s claim that immigrants were robbing “Black jobs” during their June debate with President Joe Biden.

The ex-first lady seemed to be disparaging Trump’s family fortune as well.

Regarding the definition of what it means to be an American, nobody has the final say. Nobody, she uttered. She lauded Vice President Kamala Harris, calling her “one of the most qualified people ever to seek the office of the presidency.”

She asked everyone to “do something” in order to secure Harris and Gov. Tim Walz’s victories.

Michelle said Harris acknowledges that “we will never benefit from the affirmative action of generational wealth” and that “the majority of us be afforded the grace of failing forward.”

Barack Obama was then asked to address the audience on stage by her.
