The board exam results from the previous year were made public on June 25. Rahul Laishram of Catholic School took first place in 2022 with 586 points. Tanishq Tongbram and Nongmaithem Dhanajeet from Heritage Convent tied for second place with 585 points apiece. Maneka Huidrom of Eureka Academy and Jesia Khwairakpam of Ratankumar Memorial School tied for third place with 584 points apiece.

In total, 37,715 students—19,087 boys and 18,628 girls—are sitting the board exam this year while being closely monitored by security.
Exams for the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM) were administered on paper between March 15 and April 3, 2024. There are 154 locations for the board exam, with 63 in the hills and 91 in the valley.
More than 47,000 students, all of whom were promoted, have registered for the class 10 board exams in 2021. Using the alternative assessment criteria, 20,416 boys and 19,448 girls were determined to have passed.
