One of the outstanding outfield catches

During the third One-Day International between South Africa and Australia at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom, Sean Abbott sprinted across the boundary line and made an incredible catch.

When the ball was swung toward the boundary ropes, Abbott raced over and dove full-length to grab it with one hand.

Even hitter Marco Jansen was left speechless by his performance.

The catch served as another example of Abbott’s tenacity and never-give-up spirit. Even though it appeared that the ball would go for six, he never gave up on it.

When Jansen was searching for the big hits in SA’s innings’ 47th over, the incident took place. Nathan Ellis produced a big delivery, and Jansen chased it down and cut it toward the sweeper cover area.

When it appeared like the ball would go for a six, Abbott suddenly appeared, dove full-stretch, and finished a one-handed blinder.

Jansen was consequently ejected for a 16-ball 32, and the catch quickly gained popularity on social media.

Nevertheless, South Africa overcame Australia to win despite a string of setbacks.

South Africa, which had lost the first two and all three games of the Twenty20 series against Australia that came before it, defeated Australia by 111 runs at the JB Marks Oval to earn their first victory in the five-match One Day International series. Aiden Markram led the Proteas in scoring with a well-made 102.

The last game of the series will be played in Johannesburg on Sunday after the next match between South Africa and the Australians takes place in Pretoria on Friday.
