IMPAR conducted a cleanliness and awareness drive on 28.06.2020. Normally People  know that  public places, mosques and temples are strewn with garbage, but rather than cleaning these spaces most of the people are  closing their about all firth and filth in around.

To counter this mindset, This Delhi based Organization launched a cleanliness drive and the awareness program to take up the responsibility of sanitation, raise awareness about hygiene and cleanliness in our lives and most importantly figuring out long term sustainable strategies towards cleanliness.

The awareness programme and campaign was done in Old Delhi and the volunteers covered the area around Meena Bazar- Jama Masjid, Haj Manzil, Jain Mandir, Gauri Shankar Mandir, Shishganj Gurudwara and Central Baptist Church.

The awareness campaign highlighted the importance of sanitation and hygiene especially through the COVID 19 crisis. Most importantly the campaign aimed at behavioural change in people regarding healthy sanitation practices and urged towards public participation in such events.

The activities of the sanitization campaign included sanitization, mask and gloves distribution, COVID 19 handbill distribution and making public appeals. The response garnered was exceptional with onlookers asking about the Organization  and the work it has been doing. Many onlookers promised that they would join the upcoming sanitation campaigns done by it.

The team of the volunteers included Mr Shan- Field Manager IMPAR, Dr Adil, Dr Aarzoo, Mr Akhtar, Mr Shahid, Mr Sohrab, Mr Ayub, Mr Chaudhary Akram, Mr Faheem, Mr Noor-e-Elahi and Mr Shehzad. The Organization plans to hold similar campaigns in other parts of Delhi in the coming days.
