IND vs. ENG: Head coach Rahul Dravid says that India would start preparing for the Test series on January 20. India’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, announced on Wednesday that the team would start preparing for the crucial 5-Test series against England on January 20 with a training camp in Hyderabad.

In a thrilling Double Super Over match on Wednesday, January 17, in Bengaluru, India sealed a perfect T20I series victory over Afghanistan.

After a two-day break, the Test regulars who were on the T20I team will report to the India camp in Hyderabad. The players who must immediately transition from T20I to Test mode include Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar, and Avesh Khan.Head coach Rahul Dravid says that India would start preparing for the Test series on January 20.

The first day of the 5-Test series is January 25. For the first time since England’s tour to India in 2018, India will host a 5-Test series. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, their five-match series in England in 2021 was interrupted, with the fifth Test being rescheduled and played in 2022.

A five-test series will demand a lot of the players, as Rahul Dravid said, but he still thinks the team can do well.

England held a training camp in the United Arab Emirates in preparation for one of their most difficult away-from-home encounters.

The group, captained by Ben Stokes, has been performing well as a result of their daring cricket style, dubbed “Bazball.” The largest test for Bazball is when the visiting English team steps on the field, and head coach Brendon McCullum will be eager to leave his mark.

“I’m excited about it; it promises to be a fascinating series. England is a strong team that has recently produced some excellent cricket.

Five matches in the next few months is a lot of cricket. None of us have played a five-match Test series in a very long time. It will drain us completely,” Rahul Dravid stated in a JioCinema conversation.

“I’m excited to reunite with the team on the 20th, prepare for a few days beforehand, and hopefully play some excellent cricket over the ensuing few months.” Hopefully, people show up in five locations and show their support for Test cricket,” he continued.

Since an MS Dhoni-led squad was defeated 2-1 by an Alastair Cook-led team, India has not lost a home Test series. But with Stokes and McCullum as their new leadership team, India will be cautious about the threat posed by the English team when it comes to accepting challenges.
