Every IPL game is a spectacle, according to the recently appointed head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants, who compared the competition to the Olympic Games.
Prior to the 2024 season, the former cricket player was appointed head coach of the Lucknow-based team. LSG separated itself from Gautam Gambhir and Andy Flower’s management group.
Langer, who has won the Big Bash and the T20 World Cup with Australia, also disclosed that he has discussed the competition extensively with Ricky Ponting and Tom Moody.
“After spending so much time sitting with Ricky, I heard him talk about his time spent with the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians. How much he enjoys the competition. with a video released by the LSG, Justin Langer stated, “And Tom Moody, one of my best friends, he’s been so involved in the IPL and just to hear them talking about it.”
“The Olympic Games and the IPL are similar. It’s enormous. Every game is a spectacle, and fans support them enthusiastically not only at the stadiums but also throughout India and the rest of the world. “I am incredibly thrilled about the chance to be involved in that,” he continued.
In the midst of an exciting 4-0 victory over England in the Ashes Down Under, the players were torn apart by the coach’s methods, and Langer was forced to move on.
Under Andrew McDonald’s direction, Australia has won the ODI World Cup and the WTC 2023 since Langer’s departure.
