Although Shami is recovering from an ankle ailment, the BCCI has not given the player the all-clear to play in the two-match Test series.
“Mr Mohd Shami, whose participation in the Test series was subject to fitness has not been cleared by the BCCI Medical Team and the fast bowler is ruled out of the two Tests,” the BCCI said in a release.
However, Deepak Chahar has let BCCI know that he won’t be accessible. The pacer is dealing with a family emergency right now.
Due to a family medical issue, Mr. Deepak Chahar has notified the BCCI that he would not be available for the forthcoming ODI series. Mr. Akash Deep has been selected by the Men’s Selection Committee to take his seat.
