SSC MTS & Havaldar 2024: 8,000 plus positions available: The official notification for the Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination (SSC MTS 2024) was announced on June 27 by the Staff Selection Commission, or SSC. Those who are interested in applying for the positions can get the notification by visiting ssc.gov.in, the official website.
The notification states that 8,326 positions would be filled through the recruitment exam. The application deadline for the test is July 31, 2024. By August 1, 2024, at the latest, an online application fee of ₹100 must be paid.
Furthermore, from August 16 to August 17, 2024, is when the application forms can be corrected.
The SSC MTS tier 1 exam is scheduled to take place in October or November of 2024, while the exact date will be revealed soon.
There are 8,326 total openings, of which 4887 are for Multi-Tasking Staff and 3439 are for Havaldar positions in CBIC and CBN.
Qualifications:
Age restriction: MTS and Havaldar applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 25 according to CBN (Department of Revenue).
The age range for Havaldar positions at CIBC (Department of Revenue) and some MTS positions is 18–27 years old. Candidates in the reserved category will be eligible for a waiver of the upper age limit in both situations.
Minimum educational requirements: On or before the deadline, candidates must complete the Class 10 or Matriculation exam, or its equivalent, from an accredited board. Qualifications for education: Applicants must have graduated from an accredited board in Class 10.
SELECTION METHOD:
A Computer Based Examination (CBE) and a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST) will be used in the selection process. PET and PST are exclusive to the Havaldar position.
In addition, thirteen regional languages (Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu) as well as English and Hindi will be used for the computer-based exam.
There will be two sessions for the CBE, and it will be required of you to attempt both. Candidates who don’t try any sessions will be eliminated.
CBE Cut Offs
Based on how well they performed in the second exam session, candidates will be shortlisted for the actual test rounds. However, only if they qualify from session 1 will session 2 marks be considered.
Sessions 1 and 2’s minimal qualifying scores are:
- Not reserved: thirty percent
- OBC and EWS: 25% each
- 20% for all other categories
