Located in Kalyani, West Bengal, India, Kalyani University—officially known as the University of Kalyani—is a state university. The West Bengal government’s “The Kalyani University Act 1960” allowed it to be founded on November 1st, 1960. “The Kalyani University Act, 1981 (amended up to 2001)” serves as the institution’s guiding legislation. It began as a unitary university in the districts of Nadia and Murshidabad, with faculties of Arts, Science, Education, and Agriculture. Today, it has expanded to include 62 associated colleges.
