Delhi’s coldwave conditions are still present, and several regions have mild fog. On Monday, the coldwave persisted in Delhi and the surrounding states.
The India Meteorological Department reports that at 5:30 am today, isolated areas of east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar had dense to extremely dense fog conditions.
Additionally, the meteorological service reported that there was moderate fog in certain areas of Haryana, Chandigarh, West Rajasthan, and West Bengal, and dense fog in certain areas of Punjab and Tripura.
The meteorological department added that Ayodhya, the site of today’s Ram Mandir opening, will have bright skies and temperatures between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius.
In the temple town, there was no indication that it might rain today.
Delhi’s highest temperature of 15.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday was five degrees colder than the season’s average.
At 5.30 pm, the minimum temperature was 4.8 degrees Celsius and the humidity was 71%.
The railways reported that on Sunday, fog caused delays of up to four hours for 11 trains that were headed towards Delhi.
For January 22, the weather bureau primarily forecasted clear skies, thick to extremely thick fog, and chilly weather.
